In 2011, Ramon Rivas curated the 1st ever comedy stage at Ingenuity Fest and it was good. Real good. Comics from all over the country converged under the Detroit Superior Bridge and times were had.

A great foundation was laid for this year, which will feature a new location at the Port of Cleveland and all new comics coming to break Cleveland off PROPER!

The FREE shows will run from 8p - 1a on Friday 9/14 with programming running hourly. Seating will be limited, please email chucklefckpod@gmail.com to reserve seating for a particular programming block

Ramon Rivas II (Co-host)

Despite being mexican, unemployed, carless and heavy, Ramon Rivas is one of the hardest working comedians to come out of Cleveland in years. Combining his work ethic with a overtly chill stage presence, Rivas leaves an impression on every show he performs on. In 2011, he performed at the Just For Laughs Chicago Festival opening for Jo Koy at the historic Vic Theatre.

Rivas has become a fixture in the rich & deep Chicago comedy scene and has been working feverishly to make Cleveland a similar hub for great comedy. Between producing his own shows around town, being one of the club favorites at Hilarties and constantly searching out stage time, Rivas is becoming synonomous with comedy in Cleveland.

His blog has been quoted in the New York Times and his inconsistent personal journalism has led to him receiving props from one of the great comedy curators, Paul Provenza.

Not bad for a lovable stoner.

Puterbaugh Sisterz (8p Opening for Beth Stelling)

Actual Sisters, Tiffany and Danielle Puterbaugh will revolutionize. They are bringing comedy duo's back, or at least to the back of every dive bar.

“Taking their schtick into absurdest parallel universes...it works 100% of the time. Making them one of the most innovative and up and coming acts to catch in town,” says The Onion AV Club.
“Its refreshing to see a duo where neither is the straight (wo)man,” says Comedy of Chicago.

They have performed in The Andy Kaufman Awards and recently in TBS Just For Laughs Festival Chicago. They also performed in their own festival, Just for Rafts. They are cast members of Chicago Underground Comedy and produce a critically acclaimed comedy/variety show, “Entertaining Julia.”
You'll laugh or you won't, but either way, you'll be in the audience.
Beth Stelling (8p Headliner)

After being named a “New Face of Comedy” at the Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, Beth Stelling decided to relocate to Los Angeles. Before leaving Chicago she was given the Silver Nail Award by Rooftop Comedy as one of 2011′s Best Underground Stand-up Comics.

Most recently Huffington Post called her a “standout” at SXSW 2012 in Austin, TX. Adding, “Her stand-up is so accessible and smart, she has no problem getting the men in her audience to crack up over a tilted uterus joke. A+.”

Stelling reigned previously as Chicago’s mistress of all things deadpan. She was named the Best Stand-up Comedian by The Chicago Reader and The Chicago Tribune also listed her as a “Comedian to Watch.” In April of 2011 Stelling was named one of “Chicago’s Hottest 30 Under 30″ by Refinery29.com. Beth was a cast member of Chicago Underground Comedy and performed stand-up at all the top comedy venues in Chicago.

Beth continues to work clubs, festivals and colleges across the country featuring for comics such as Kyle Kinane, Jim Norton, Kumail Nanjiani, Jim Jeffries, Greg Proops and Puppetry of the Penis among others.

Stelling made her network television debut on ABC’s “Detroit 1-8-7″ in Fall of 2010. She has written for The Onion A.V. Club Chicago, performed in short films, obtained a theater degree from Miami University, and studied improv at the Annoyance Theater. Stelling’s creation and portrayal of Vern Schultz in “Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche” earned her a nomination for a 2011 Chicago Beat Award for Best Actress in a Non-Equity play.

As for the future? Time Out Chicago thinks, “Stelling will steal the show as the sassy best friend in a Hollywood rom-com and become America’s quirkiest character girl.”
David Drake (9p Showcase)

David began performing stand up out of South Florida in 2007. Within that year he won the University of Miami student stand-up competition, was featured in Backslash Magazine for college comics to look for, and opened for SNL’s Finesse Mitchell. In 2010, David moved to Chicago to study improv at the Annoyance Theater. Since moving to Chicago he has been named 'Best of the Midwest' by the Iowa Comedy Festival and featured in Chicago’s Snubfest Comedy Festival, Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, Boston's Magners Comedy Festival, The World Series of Comedy in Vegas, Detroit Comedy Festival, Milwaukee Comedy Festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off, and the 2012 Laughing Devil Comedy Festival in New York. He was also featured in Comcast's televised stand up specials 'Who's Laughing Now?' and 'Trial by Laughter' as well as the College Humor Live show at the UCB theater in New York. David currently performs nationwide while working out a niche in Chicago's alternative comedy scene.

Danny Kallas (9p Showcase)

The moment Danny Kallas speaks, you can't help but focus your attention to the stage. His blue-collar, Chicago accent has been described as "so thick, you don't even know what hit you."

Raised in Elmwood Park, a tightly-knit community bordering Chicago's Northwest side, Danny enjoys blending all sorts of comedy. From absurd silliness to intelligent satire, if it's funny, it's in his act.

He recently clinched first place at Snubfest 2009 and has been listed on Comedy.com's list of the 20 Funniest Chicago Comedians.

Drew Michael (10p Showcase)

Drew Michael is a Chicago comedian who focuses on life from a dark, cerebral point of view. His rumination on God, religion, Hitler, government, relationships, ex girlfriends, bestiality, pedophilia, life and death has – in addition to making people violently angry – prompted TimeOut Chicago to call him, ”Smart, funny and unabashedly crass.”

Drew is a founding member of the comedy collective, Comedians You Should Know, whose weekly showcase is the best independent stand-up show in the city. The Onion AV Club echoed that sentiment: ”The genuine quality of talent on display is unrivaled in Chicago.” The group also released a self-titled album last year that debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts. This year, Drew had the privilege of performing in the Bridgetown Comedy Festival.

Already a staple on the Chicago scene, Drew is one of the hardest working, most unapologetically convicted comedians in the country. See him now, while you still can, before he is viciously murdered by an ex-girlfriend, an unruly audience member, or himself.
Erik Cribley (10p Showcase)

Erik Cribley has been performing stand up comedy for almost three years, honing his skills in Youngstown's taxing Italian restaurant circuit. He won the Funny Stop's tri-annual "Ohio's Best Amateur Comedian" contest in December of 2011, and has appeared in unreleased independent film "Cleveland, I Love You", cult webseries "Juggalohio" and hosts a weekly podcast "Erik and Dave Talking with Erik and Dave". Mark Collela once called him "the Mike Polk of Youngstown", which he assumed was a compliment. It hadn't occurred to him to write a bio until just now.
Tyler Jackson (10p Showcase)

Tyler Jackson is an up-and-coming standup comedian from Louisville, Kentucky. He’s also a broke medical school dropout subsisting on a series of mediocre fast-food jobs to make rent. Luckily for him, his imagination is always ready to take hold of his mundane existence and shape it into something far more exciting. Equal parts smart and absurd, Tyler takes his life experiences and blows them up into wild tales full of ludicrous detail and identifiably awkward situations. A diligent writer and performer, he’s quickly become an in-demand comic, opening up for headliners like Louis Katz and Nate Bargatze, as well as earning finalist positions in several regional comedy competitions.
Jeff Arcuri (10p Showcase)

Jeff has been performing in clubs, colleges and bars in and around the Midwest for years. His unique brand of humor has proven him a favorite for many venues. Jeff has performed in several festivals, including the Laughing Skull festival in Atlanta, Georgia and Laughfest in Grand Rapids, MI. Originally from New York, he moved to Michigan when he was only seventeen and experienced an extreme culture shock that shows on stage. One of the most animated and energetic comedians on the scene today, Jeff has been known to keep a show rolling with his facial expressions and mannerisms on stage. He is able to make age groups from young frat boys to your beloved grandmother laugh out loud.
Lee Honeycutt (11p Opener)

One of the weirdest and funniest comedians in Cleveland, Lee Honeycutt has been keeping audiences on edge for years.
Last Call Cleveland (11p Headliner)

Last Call Cleveland is a solid sketch comedy group with a stupid, gay name. But it's too late to change it now because it's already on some t-shirts and stuff so we're just dealing with it. Last Call has been performing sketch comedy on television and stage for over five years and in that time they've created content that has varied in quality from "excellent" to "unspeakably bad". Aside from performing all over Cleveland we do shows monthly at The House of Blues. We've done gigs at The Chicago Sketch Fest, DC Comedy Fest, LA's Improv Olympic West and various other far less impressive cities and hamlets. We all have real jobs that selfishly monopolize the majority of our time, but we still get together to tape new stuff and do stage shows occasionally in order to stay sane and force women to look at us. Bill Squire (Blue Bills: Unrated Comedy)

At age six Bill Squire fell while getting out of a kiddie pool and broke his left arm. It got a huge laugh. Ever since then Bill has wanted to make people laugh.
Bill has earned the respect of his peers by performing fearlessly at any venue, whether it is a hole in the wall bar or a 2000 seat theater Bill is going to put on a show to remember.

In 2011 Bill won the “Car Crash Comedy Contest” on SiriusXm’s Opie and Anthony Show. In 2008 he was part of the Mitch Across America Tribute to Mitch Hedburg where several Comedy Clubs across the country held shows to celebrate the life of Mitch Hedburg and the release of his last album. In the summer of 2009 Bill made a non-traditional appearance on Comedy Central by winning the “Show Us Your Best” contest and had his stand up clip aired on Comedy Central and featured on comedycentral.com  . Bill is also a cast member on the youtube sensation webseries “Man in the Box” which has over 60,000 subscribers, nearly 200 episodes and was aired on Cinemax OnDemand in 2008.

Bill is also a regular in comedy clubs all over the country and has opened for some of the best comedians working today like Daniel Tosh, Tom Green, Roy Wood Jr, Russell Peters, and Bruce Bruce. Bill has even shared the stage with comedy legend George Wallace. His hard work ethic and his natural comedic talent have made him one of the fastest rising stars in the comedy world today and his performances are always non-stop laughs.
